Dr. William Pencak (1951 – 2013)
We were saddened to hear of Dr. Pencak’s passing on December 9th 2013. Bill generously gave of his time in helping us save the Justice William Smith House. His ample library list provides significant resources to those interested in learning more about frontier Pennsylvania’s contribution to American History. Bill never gave up on trying to help rebuild the Smith House which he believed was probably the most important Pre Rev War property west of the Susquehanna river.
